Technology and the way we interact with it is constantly changing. Autonomous driving will fundamentally change the way we operate vehicles. Driver-centered controls will give way to a centralized entertainment system; the inmates experience a fully digitalized experience, which will switch seamless between passive and active driving modes.
MULTIFORM BECOMES UNIFORM UI
Multiple screens, a wide variety of surfaces and a mix of digital, analog and physically-hybrid controllers and gestures make operation in every vehicle a never-to-be-learned experience. The vision is to build a flexible, standardized, customizable and modular UI that can be used for almost all vehicle types: The uniform UI.
DRIVING A SMARTPHONE
Intuitive operation is what everyone strives for. But what is intuitive? Intuitive is what we are used to, so it makes sense to make operation in the vehicle as easy as apps on a smartphone.
PURE SIMPLICITY. ONE CENTER DISPLAY.
The mivon e-car concept has a central control panel, which combines all vehicle functions in one screen. The curved AMOLED display in 25:10 format provides retina-sharp interface designs. Divided into 3 display sections, vehicle-related information, media content and vehicle controls are displayed.
GET IN TOUCH
The car measures and regulates the climate as you feel, so you do not have to manually regulate it. If you want to do this anyway, you can use the lower, beveled screen area to control all vehicle functions, such as Temperature, air flow or seat heating. Intuitive drag gestures allow flexible and stepless settings.
CUSTOMIZABLE UI PANELS
All functions are arranged in a central dashboard menu; there is no need to navigate "back and forth" trough individual menu levels. Each panel has an innovative menu bar to select the main functions directly. Or you scale the respective panel to maximum size to see all functions.
EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL
There are various UI panels for vehicle information, music, entertainment etc. and even 3rd party widgets for your favorite brands and applications.
KNIGHT RIDER IS HERE
By pressing the central Interact button, you can personally control all vehicle functions by voice commands, for example the navigation, the climate settings or the driving modes. The vehicle AI interacts as humanly as possible and considers your personal feeling while driving.
ENTERTAINMENT IS ALWAYS ON
Media use will always be the focus; the vehicle becomes an entertainment space. Watch your favorite series, the latest movies or enjoy entertaining apps and games: the dashboard acts as a central entertainment center in autonomous driving mode.
ENERGY PANEL
The energy dashboard informs the driver about the current range, the nearest charging station and shows detailed evaluations of the driving cycle and driving modes.
HEAD-UP DISPLAY
The variable head-up display projects all driver-relevant information directly into the field of view. The UI adapts to the different driving settings - regardless of whether you are driving in normal, sport or autonomous mode.
DRIVING WITH AUGMENTED REALITY
The head-up projection is not limited to the presentation of speed, traffic rules or navigation. All location-related information, such as the closest POIs to the route navigation are projected directly onto the windscreen. An ultra-wide field of view allows an almost completely augmented reality representation of the environment.
THE DRIVING MODES
The driving mode interface element indicates whether the vehicle is in parking, in a normal driving mode or in autonomous driving mode.
AUTONOMOUS DRIVING MODE
If you are not driving now, the status display informs you about all driving-relevant information, for example, whether you are following another vehicle in a convoy or are pedestrians in the danger zone.
NAVIGATION PANEL
The 3D navigation visualizes the planned route in real time and is linked with the autonomous driving mode.
LESS IS MORE
The "New Minimalism" is the basic design understanding for this automotive concept. The goal was a harmonious interplay of interior, exterior and interface design with a focus on graphic, clear lines without too much visual effects like shadows and glows. Timeless, modern, elegant and yet sporty: a new design concept ready for the year 2025.
